YAP was born from the need to make it easier to perform online transactions and transfer money digitally – especially for people who depend on them. 

Taking a big stride forward in their digital transformation strategy, the leadership team approached digitify to turn their ideas and plans into a reality, and they did so at the very start of their journey, knowing our expertise spans the full design, development and deployment process. 

digitify created the YAP digital banking platform & mobile app from start to finish, from concept to deployment, providing a complete end-to-end service. The digital products were designed with the latest innovative technology, to make banking easy and more accessible to consumers.

As a major part of the project, digitify designed and developed the YAP mobile application, website and CRM.  The website was to showcase the mobile app, its features and also drive users to download the app. 

The CRM and YAP portal was developed by our Front-end team to securely store all the customer details, perform the onboarding process and integrate with 3rd party partners e.g., to verify new customers identity and credit checks. 

The entire branchless banking platform was built from scratch tailored to the specific requirement of YAP and its user base.  They are fully supported by our teams, including 24/7 monitoring and maintenance, security monitoring, regular pentesting, upgrades, user management and more 

YAP utilised all major services from digitify throughout the app development project lifecycle including: 

Consultancy, Solution Architecture, Mobile Development (iOS & Android), UI/UX Design, Front-end & Back-end Development, DevOps, Cybersecurity/InfoSec, QA Automation and Project Management.  

As a result, digitify helped YAP to become the first independent digital banking platform in the UAE.  Customers now have access to an innovative banking platform, improving their experience and giving the Bank a real competitive advantage.   

However, the app is the tip of the iceberg. Beneath the surface of this project is enormous work to integrate and modernise legacy systems, superior regulatory expertise, and digitify's close relationships with key partners in the ecosystem. 

Working with digitify has allowed YAP to extend its reach beyond the UAE, with YAP Pakistan launched and YAP Ghana now also in development.
