Is it better to create a VR/AR solution from scratch or to use a standard solution?

I work at a clothing retail store and we want to implement an AR/VR feature on our E-Commerce, so people can see the clothes in real size. Is it better to create a solution from scratch or to use a standard solution from the market? What are the pros and cons of each?
